Over the years, with hard work and a strong commitment to organize from the Local 135 Executive Board, Local 135 has grown to become the largest labor union in the State of Indiana, and the Third largest Teamster Local in the United States.
Teamster Union Local 135 represents over 14,000 members working at over 800 different companies throughout the State of Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois. We are headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana with nine fully staffed branch offices throughout the State to better serve the needs of our members in their areas. Our offices are located in Bloomington, Columbus, Lafayette, Lawrenceburg, Marion, Michigan City, Muncie, Richmond, Terre Haute, Indiana.
Teamsters Union Local 135 has well trained, experienced negotiators who have successfully negotiated hundreds of collective bargaining agreements, improving the lives of our members and their families. Local 135 has qualified organizers who were shop stewards on the job for numerous years giving them the insight to know what its like to be the worker on the shop floor and how to deal with their issues. If you are currently working nonunion, and you are not satisfied with your wages, benefits or working conditions, you can do something about it. The first step is to contact the Teamsters Union. With the Teamsters Union, you will put an end to unfair treatment, inconsistent work rules and favoritism by your employer. With the Teamsters Union you gain the following:
