ABOUT THE FUND
The Indiana Teamsters Safety Training & Educational Trust Fund is a Taft-Hartley non-profit fund administered by a joint union-management board of trustees. The present source of funding is exclusively employer contributions negotiated in each employers collective bargaining agreement. The Fund is presently servicing all Teamsters Local Unions in the State of Indiana.
It is the purpose of the Fund to provide quality safety education, which in turn develops better communication between employers and their employees, in safety related matters. Our experience with companies that we are working with indicated much progress has been accomplished in the areas of increased productivity, worker cooperation, employer commitment and reduced worker injuries.
Results have shown less lost work time and reduced workers compensation premiums. All of these work to enhance the employers economic condition to make them more competitive in today's market place. A well trained worker is safe, dependable, and has a true sense of pride in their profession. Our Safety Training Program can help to accomplish this goal.
