UPS Teamsters in Local 135 have won over 100 9.5 grievances in the last six weeks, with $30,000 paid out to members.
Members stuck together and filed Article 37 grievances whenever the company violated our 9.5 rights.
It took preparation and unity to get here. “Almost 100% of our drivers in Circle Center are on the 9.5 list,” said Circle Chief Steward Johnny Miller. “We’ll keep filing because it’s working and the members deserve it.”
Filing a grievance can be scary at first. But when we stick together, management can’t single us out.
Members are getting involved, acting like a union, and enforcing the contract. Next stop: making the company pay for supervisors working violations.
