After a long organizing campaign and bargaining for over a year and a half, this evening, members at Brickyard Healthcare Terrace, in Laporte Indiana UNANIMOUSLY ratified their first contract!

“This is a HUGE victory for these hardworking healthcare professionals and the newest members of Local 135! I was the Organizer that worked with them throughout their organizing drive and this brings all of their hard efforts full circle,” said Local 135 President, Dustin Roach. “I’m excited for them and look forward to what the future holds. Let this be an example to workers everywhere, when you come together for a common cause and unite and fight, you win. These workers are the definition of what being Union means and it couldn’t have been achieved without their sacrifice and support of each other and never giving up!”

“I look forward to representing our newest members,” said Local 135 Secretary-Treasurer and Brickyard Healthcare Business Agent, Sarah Revard. “We’ve got a grievance procedure and so many other benefits in place now, I plan to work with the group to ensure everything they just fought so hard for is protected and enforced for years to come.”
